Specialist Joinery Group have just completed a state of art Conservation Laboratory. The government facility aims to preserve and restore public documentation for future generations.   Conservation repairs and treatment is an exact and time consuming activity, which requires facilities of the highest specification.

We delivered the project to an exacting specification. The unitary was constructed out of Trespa, and integrated M&E services. Specialist industrial fume cupboards were installed. Heated treatment sinks were sourced and installed, as they help catalyse the reaction between the subject matter and preservation chemicals, making them more effective. We manufactured underlit, glass and trespa desks, to allow close work to repair documentation.

The project was finished well in advance of programme, to budget and to client satisfaction.

Specialist Joinery Group’s Managing Director John Bosco O’Hagan recently hosted a group of AS Level Students, accompanied by their teachers for a business presentation and discussion forum.  Mr O’Hagan kindly shared his experiences of the business environment and reflected upon previous success with the group.

THE INCREDIBLE success story that is St Gall’s continued at Glenalbyn on Saturday, as the All-Ireland club champions completed a remarkable double when annexing the Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland football Sevens title for the fourth time with a 3-9 to 2-5 win over Bellaghy at Glenalbyn.

Eoghan Brown was outstanding for Bellaghy and his goal pushed them into a first-half lead but an Anto Healy goal gave the winners a 1-4 to 1-3 interval advantage.

After an unpredictable week weather wise, we were graced with a glorious sunny Friday at the Slieve Russell Golf and Country Club.  The board of directors, hosted over 50 guests on the 18-hole championship course, which is renowned as a one of the best courses in Ireland.  The day got off to a great start with breakfast rolls in the club house, where four balls were introduced and new acquaintances made. 

We were joined by a special guest, Tyrone Manager Mickey Harte.  After a superb dinner, guests were entertained with a motivational speech from Mickey Harte, followed by a presentation of prizes. 

The day was enjoyed by all and gave Specialist Joinery Group the opportunity to thank the many people who contribute to our success.

Specialist Joinery Group are proud of their involvement in the Public Records Office, Northern Ireland.  The design and building fabric has been sensitively and ingeniously created by Darragh Coleman of Todd Architects, giving the created space a sense of character by incorporating design elements which are linked to Northern Ireland’s historical past.

 We look forward to the opening of the building and know that the public will appreciate the facility for generations to come.
