Specialist Joinery Group have achieved ISO9001:2008 Quality Accreditation.  John B. O’Hagan Group Managing Director said “the achievement of ISO 9001 is a valuable contribution to our Client’s supply chain and should help Specialist Joinery Group remain as a leader in the supply and installation of Fitted Furniture throughout Ireland, UK and Europe.”

Specialist Joinery Group have successfully secured the joinery fit out works at Livity School, Streatham, London.   Provision for special education needs is an important aspect of our Education Furniture Range. The Livity School complex will provide educational facilities for 80 pupils with autistic spectrum disorders and profound and multiple learning difficulties at Primary level. The £8.4 million project is being delivered by Mace (Employers Agents) and Mulalley Construction (Main Contractor) and is due to open in September 2012.

Our dedicated Education Team led by Directors- Dermot O’Hagan and Martin Collins are this week celebrating securing 3 new Munster Schools Projects.  The 3 school bundle comprises 2 Nationals Schools at Kenmare and Tralee – Co. Kerry and Ursuline Secondary School, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Specialist Joinery Group is celebrating the successful completion of works for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals at their Co. Meath plant.

 This project adds to a portfolio of successfully completed laboratory/ cleanroom fit outs for the Medical and Pharmaceutical sector.

Specialist Joinery Group have successfully secured the furniture fit out for the Communication Workers Union Building in Dublin.  This high profile public sector building is currently being constructed by Bam Contractors, who are part of the Royal Bam Group.

Maghera-based Specialist Joinery Group, a leading manufacturer of bespoke fitted furniture, were announced as the new Derry GAA sponsors at a press event at the O’Neills Sports Store in Magherafelt on Saturday. 

 Group Managing Director – John Bosco O’Hagan is a well known figure in GAA circles having spent 6 years as Chairman and Club sponsor of Bellaghy Wolf Tones. Indeed his wife Teresa, a retired teacher from St. Patrick’s Maghera is also a keen follower of GAA. When asked how he felt about the sponsorship, John Bosco O’Hagan said  “In many ways, the ethos of the GAA is reflected in the core values of Specialist Joinery Group. The Gaelic Athletic Association provides a meaningful outlet for the youth of today and puts the welfare and development of the community to the fore. It’s a return to Family, Community, Club and County.”

Over the past 10 years, John Bosco’s 3 sons Ciaran, Sean and Dermot have taken up key positions in the business. Together, the family is bringing the company forward to compete in new markets.   Since establishing Specialist Joinery Group in 1988, the company has grown steadily and significantly working on many prestigious projects such as Titanic Signature Building, Enniskillen Hospital, The McClay Library at Queen’s University Belfast, Terminal 2 Dublin Airport, the Central Criminal Courts of Justice Dublin, several luxury hotels in London and GlaxoSmithKline in Belgium.
