Livity Special Education Needs School, Streatham, London

Specialist Joinery Group have successfully secured the joinery fit out works at Livity School, Streatham, London.   Provision for special education needs is an important aspect of our Education Furniture Range. The Livity School complex will provide educational facilities for 80 pupils with autistic spectrum disorders and profound and multiple learning difficulties at Primary level. The £8.4 million project is being delivered by Mace (Employers Agents) and Mulalley Construction (Main Contractor) and is due to open in September 2012.

Specialist Joinery Group win Munster Schools Hat-trick

Specialist Joinery Group announce sponsorship deal with Derry GAA

Maghera-based Specialist Joinery Group, a leading manufacturer of bespoke fitted furniture, were announced as the new Derry GAA sponsors at a press event at the O’Neills Sports Store in Magherafelt on Saturday. 

 Group Managing Director – John Bosco O’Hagan is a well known figure in GAA circles having spent 6 years as Chairman and Club sponsor of Bellaghy Wolf Tones. Indeed his wife Teresa, a retired teacher from St. Patrick’s Maghera is also a keen follower of GAA. When asked how he felt about the sponsorship, John Bosco O’Hagan said  “In many ways, the ethos of the GAA is reflected in the core values of Specialist Joinery Group. The Gaelic Athletic Association provides a meaningful outlet for the youth of today and puts the welfare and development of the community to the fore. It’s a return to Family, Community, Club and County.”

Over the past 10 years, John Bosco’s 3 sons Ciaran, Sean and Dermot have taken up key positions in the business. Together, the family is bringing the company forward to compete in new markets.   Since establishing Specialist Joinery Group in 1988, the company has grown steadily and significantly working on many prestigious projects such as Titanic Signature Building, Enniskillen Hospital, The McClay Library at Queen’s University Belfast, Terminal 2 Dublin Airport, the Central Criminal Courts of Justice Dublin, several luxury hotels in London and GlaxoSmithKline in Belgium.

Derry County Board Chairman John Keenan welcomed on board the new sponsors.  “We are delighted that Specialist Joinery Group has signed up to become the new sponsors of senior, Under 21 and minor hurling and football teams. Derry County Board are delighted that one of our most progressive local businesses has come on board, particularly in the current financial climate when businesses are watching every penny they spend.
