Specialist  Joinery Group are a design led furniture manufacturer. To set ourselves apart from competition we have been involved with many design initiatives and research projects with local partners.  This research and development approach, has changed the way we think about design and value for money. We are aware of the concept of lifecycle costing and have used it’s principles when thinking about material selection for our product range.

To demonstrate our design led philosophy and commitment to providing high quality products SJG have developed a flagship range of education furniture.  SWOT is a unique classroom fit-out system that enables fitted furniture to accommodate the spectrum of change required by 21st century learning environments.  Blending the best of traditional joinery with leading extrusion technology and services management,   have created a modular de-mountable furniture solution that is unique in design and functionality.

We outline the key attributes of the system as;

Infection Control

Working in the Health Care market requires meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive design to minimize spread of infection and facilitate thorough cleaning. We have adopted elements of the HTM63 and HTM71 as standard in our healthcare installation, taking into consideration how health care facilities work.

• Concealing hinges
• Sealing all edges with PVC or Laminate
• Clearance under base units to allow for cleaning
• Box type, continuous overlaid plinth for infection control/ aesthetics
