Expansion of Specialist Joinery Group facilities over last 30 years.
Delivering projects from concept to completion, Specialist Joinery Group has continued to make significant investment in technology and production capacity. This maintains our position as a market leading fitted furniture company and allows us to seek new opportunities, whilst also ensuring that we service the needs of our existing and long established client base.
Established in 1988, operations were based in 15,000 sq ft premises. Over the next 10 years the company grew steadily and significantly, securing work with premium Clients such as Murphy’s Irish Brewery, Heineken, Northern Bank and British Midland.
Client demand prompted the company to invest in new purpose built production facilities and offices. In close proximity to the original site, the new premises delivered 35,000 sq ft of additional workplace.
Again in 2010, as our assembly teams grew and with increasing mechanisation and production machinery on the
shop floor further production space was necessary. This investment in production capacity and technology gave the group Major Project delivery capability and the Specialist Project portfolio developed considerably.
In response to growth in the construction market and having secured a significant order book the group invested £3 million in production capacity. We are uniquely positioned in the market with over 80,000 sq ft of manufacturing space housing a highly skilled workforce and the latest machinery.
On the anniversary of our 30th Anniversary the 3rd of May 2018 saw our new factory extension which took our manufacturing facilities to over 3 acres. This latest investment included the latest in technological innovations both on the shop floor and in our offices, a 200 seater canteen as well as a company gym and dedicated employee well being suite.
