The Titanic Belfast building is on course to open in March in time for the centenary of the liner’s sinking on 14 April 1912. At an estimated cost of around £90m, the development is the most expensive tourism project ever built in Northern Ireland. Specialist Joinery Group are exceptionally proud of our involvement in this landmark project, as it completes a hatrick of projects in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter Development, having previously worked at PRONI and the Abercorn Residential Complex.

After winning several key projects in the UK Specialist Joinery Group have opened a second regional office in the UK. The office is based in Nottingham and is supervised by Regional Sales Manager – Patrick Smeeton.

This project adds to a large portfolio of Education Projects, completed throughout the UK and Ireland including PPP Schools Bundle 1 & 2, Blackrock College, Balcarras High School- Cheltenham and Clongowes Wood College.

Specialist Joinery Group have recently been awarded the fitted furniture package at the new Addenbrookes Hospital, Perinatal Unit – Cambridge. The new Perinatal Unit (£15.5m) works comprise a three-storey extension to the existing Rosie Maternity Hospital at Addenbrookes together with associated minor works for the Cambridge University Hosptials NHS Foundation.

The centenary year of the Chartered Institute of Marketing was celebrated in style at Belfast City Hall by a gala awards ceremony. The event recognised the marketing achievements of organisations across the island of Ireland. Specialist Joinery Group were nominated for 2 individual categories- Construction & Engineering and New Marketing Professional.
The staff and management team were “thrilled” that the achievements of staff member Paula McCloskey were recognised by the judges under the category “ New Marketing Professional,” adding that the award was “a great boost to the company and to all its staff.”

Health and Safety is the first and overriding priority of the management team at Specialist Joinery Group.
After a considerable investment of time in training and development of staff, Specialist Joinery Group have been awarded the CHAS Accreditation for its dedication to Health and Safety. Specialist Joinery Group also hold Safe T Cert Accreditation, an industry standard operated by the Construction Employers Federation.
