Addenbrookes Cambridge

Addenbrookes Hospital, Rosie Birth Centre was constructed, fitted out and commissioned in just 76 weeks.  This record performance by Main Contractors – Farrans Healthcare is testament to the hardwork and dedication of the construction team.

The building layout includes 10 birthing suites complete with ensuite, wet room, birthing pool, integrated folding bed, medical gas outlets, mood lighting and MP3 connectivity.  There are 28 cot spaces in the Neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU) and 30 cot spaces in the sick children’s birthing unit (SCBU) all with complex services including dual medical gas and power systems.

SJG worked very closely with the Trust to ensure the Trust’s design aspirations and specifications were achieved, and added value where possible with their extensive knowledge and experience, to ensure the Trust achieved the quality of finish required.
