Addenbrookes Hospital “Rosie Birth Centre” officially opens 3 September 2012

England’s newest birth centre has opened it’s doors to the public on Monday 03 September 2012.

The Farrans Healthcare team have successfully delivered the new 8000m² perinatal building at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. The building has been constructed, fitted out and commissioned in just 76 weeks.

The building layout includes 10 birthing suites complete with ensuite, wet room, birthing pool, integrated folding bed, medical gas outlets, mood lighting and MP3 connectivity. There are 28 cot spaces in the Neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU) and 30 cot spaces in the sick children’s birthing unit (SCBU) all with complex services including dual medical gas and power systems.
