Architectural Metal Worker

Specialist Glass & Metal , part of the Specialist Joinery Group are seeking an experienced architectural metal worker with experience in working with a broad range of materials and processes.

The successful candidate will join our small innovative team of crafts people in producing custom metal & glass items for the bespoke contract fit out market and where necessary fitting these to joinery produced by our sister company.

Applications are particularly sought from candidates with experience working with aluminium, brass & stainless steels.

 

Essential Skills

• Excellent attention to detail and eye for quality.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and generate material cutting lists.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems
• Experience in safe operation of panels saws, drill press, chop saws and common hand tools.
• Ability to work as part of team.
• Flexible and willing to travel to site on occasion as needed.

 

Desirable Skills

• Site fit out experience
• Sheet metal work experience including CNC press brake / guillotine operation.
• TIG welding experience in range of materials including aluminium & stainless steel
• Finishing experience including spray painting and or application of patina finishes to metals.
• Experience working with glass
