Celebrating 30 years of Specialist Joinery Group
In May 2018 Specialist Joinery Group will be celebrating 30 years of business and in line with the company ethos and our strong links with several charities both locally and further afield we thought no better way to celebrate our legacy than to embark on our most challenging fundraising event to date.
Over the years we have been involved with numerous fundraising events ranging from a lorry pull through Maghera main street for Pink day and our aid for Syria appeal to a nationwide tractor run for our friends at Kilronan Special School yet our next fundraising drive is set break all our previous records.
Leading up to our 30th Celebrations Specialist Joinery Group are going to raise the bar yet again with a donation target totalling a colossal £100,000. With our 30th anniversary date quickly approaching the pressure is on and we have enlisted the help of our own staff and wider community to reach our goal, as we love to engage our staff as much as possible with our decision making process we have set them a task. Firstly they will decide how much is donated where with the choice of either 5 charities receiving £20,000 each or 10 charities receiving £10,000 each and secondly to nominate 3 charities each who they think should receive the money after which the top 5 or 10 charities will receive the donations.
As always we would like to also engage with the wider community in our projects and so we urge anybody who would like to get involved with any advice or ideas on who should benefit from the donations or even exciting fundraising ideas to please get in touch!
Since our establishment in 1988, Specialist Joinery Group have remained firmly rooted in family values and at every opportunity we reach out, push boundaries and bring about positive change in many different forms. Whether it is through environmental advocacy, charity fundraising or simply engaging with our supply chain, we become absorbed by the ongoing challenges that our business presents us with. We make change happen and this has become as much a part of our brand as the joinery.
The charities & worthy causes chosen to benefit from our fundraising activities are; Steps, Alzheimers, Our Lady of Lourdes Pilgrimage, Chest Heart & Stroke, Cystic Fibrosis, Marie Curie, Children’s Cancer Unit, NI Children’s Hospice, Kings College Hospital, London and Sands.
